Boer War Memorial Statue
This memorial statue is a tribute to the men of Darlington who died in
the Boer War. The war was fought from 1899 until 1902 between the Boers
of South Africa and Britain.
The memorial, erected with the support of 5576 subscribers, stands in
the grounds of St Cuthbert's Church,
near the river Skerne and overlooks
Tubwell Row.
