Stanhope Road
Running along the far west edge of the town centre, Stanhope Road connects
Woodland Road with
Coniscliffe Road. About
half way along its length, a roundabout forms a junction with the end of
Duke Street and Abbey Road.
Stanhope Park (pictured on a wintry day) lies to the western side of the
road and is popular with students from the 6th Form College in the summer.
