Reaping fruits of co-operationA Darlington town centre restaurant is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
Family business, Crombies in Tubwell Row is also celebrating 70 years of supporting other local businesses and healthy eating. For many years diners have enjoyed a varied menu of home cooked food including local fresh produce purchased from the nearby Indoor Market. Produce includes fish and meat, fruit and vegetables, delicatessen and dairy goods. Talking about the success of the restaurant, owner Frederick Stehr said, "Here at Crombies we are delighted to be celebrating our seventieth year in business. Many thanks must go to all our loyal customers who have become friends over the years." "Thanks must also go to our suppliers from the Indoor Market who have never failed to deliver top quality fresh local produce helping us to ensure that the food we serve our customers is always the best." Have seen our healthy eating poster around the town centre? This has been produced in association with the Indoor Market to promote the benefits of healthy eating to Darlington's residents and visitors. |
