of Darlington. These paintings, by artist Ian Fennelly, give the restaurant
a unique point of interest for diners.

About Ian Fennelly
"I paint mostly in watercolours and all my subjects come from
first hand experience and observation.
Photographs are used as an additional reference.
My watercolours aim to achieve a balance between form and content.
In other words, allowing the paint and water to drip, splash and dance across the paper
in a natural and intuitive journey, but at the same time allowing the images to come through.
This is a challenge. I don't want to be too descriptive, particularly as a lot of my images
include architechtural designs. Watercolour has a life of its own and the fascination
is in creating subjects for this to take place in.
The hardest thing can be knowing when to stop."
